Peggy Ryan Williams Center

Ithaca New York

Landscape Architect: Trowbridge & Wolf Landscape Architects
Project Manager: Bret LeBleu
Architect: HOLT Architects
LEED Platinum Certified

The Peggy Ryan Williams Center was constructed as the new admissions building for the Ithaca College campus.  The building is situated to frame views to Cayuga Lake and to set up a pedestrian axis east-west through the campus.  The building and associated site work act as a gateway to campus for prospective and current students.  Site features include two green roof gardens, permeable paving in the drives and parking areas, native plants and low mow lawns.  The new plaza area is designed to act as a main access point for pedestrians entering the campus, with seating and ambient lighting integrated into a series of low stone seat walls made of native bluestone.
